SEMINAR RESEARCH
HIMT College of Pharmacy, Greater Noida organized a student’s seminar on “Global Opportunities in Applied Health Informatics & Operational Research in Population research” on 27th Feb, 2018 in association with Federation for World Academics. Prof. (Dr.) D.C.P.Singh, Director of the Institute started the proceedings by welcoming the guests. Prof. Singh introduced the Eminent speaker Dr. Ashish Joshi, Associate Dean, Students affairs of City University of New York Graduate School of Public health and Health Policy in New York to the audience. Dr. Joshi in his speech emphasized the need of doing research in every walk of life. There is need of collecting information (Data) for doing something new, which will become novel for the society.
The funding agencies of will easily fund these data based projects which will generate employment. He enumerated his many presently funded projects by various agencies like ICMR, Govt of India and other foreign agencies in US, Brazil, Haiti, Egypt and so on so forth. Mr. Shiv S Sharma, secretary, Federation of World Academics (India) also addressed the students to describe various certification courses for the students and faculties. The seminar was well attended by large number of students from Bio tech, MCA, MBA and Pharmacy. Mr. Balwan Singh, Associate Professor, conducted the function in a nice manner. The program was ended with vote of thanks by Prof. Singh.
